Originally from New Zealand, Mitta grew up singing the native Maori songs and dances.
She has traveled in various countries and studied in meditation centers around the world.

Spiritually and health oriented, Mitta regularly performs as a singer. Mitta has been volunteering to help with people affected by AIDS and HIV but more recently has traveled to India with First Medicines providing post tsunami healing support. She is currently working with others in providing care and support for individuals and groups in India
